How do I get to Mount Baw Baw?By road from Melbourne – via Princes Highway and Neerim South, or the South Face Road (25 km on a wide dirt road) via Erica or via the Warburton Highway and Powelltown, Noojee and Tanjil Bren to Mt Baw Baw Village- taking approx. 2½ - 3 hours. Care should be taken at all times. Please be aware that there is NO FUEL at Mt Baw Baw, ensure that you have enough fuel to drive back to your next destination. Where do I park my car?Green Season (October to May) Cars may be parked near our Lodge, there is a designated driveway for 3 vehicles behind each other. There is NO charge for entry into Mount Baw Baw. When you arrive at the main TOP car park, please take the left hand road down (Candle Heath Drive) and drive down the hill approx 100 meters . When you get to an intersection keep right, then about 50 meters down you will come to the sign "Tanjil Creek Lodge" on your right. To get into your accommodation follow the signs to Tanjil Creek Lodge and use the KEYPAD , to be able to enter the front door (Drying Room) White Season (June to September) In the white season drive to the DAY car park, the internal roads in the village are not accessible due to the snow. There is a 15 minute parking zone on your left where you can offload your gear (no need to bring your linen or towels). You will have to walk 150 metres down the hill to the lodge then move your vehicle to the allocated parking zones further away(car parks 2,3 or 4), otherwise you could book the oversnow transport with guest services at Mt Baw Baw. Do I need travel insurance?Holiday plans can be disrupted and we are aware that cancellation fees can be expensive. For this reason, we recommend you take out appropriate travel insurance and/or Victorian Ambulance cover when booking your holiday. It is generally inexpensive and offers valuable peace of mind, and some insurance companies cover no snow occurrences. We recommend organising your insurances through: www.travelinsurancedirect.com.au and www.ambulance.vic.gov.au
